1st Rd British Extreme Championship2021
Sunday seen the 1st rd of the British Extreme Championship and it was gret to see a strong contingent from Northern Ireland making the journey to compete.
All classes were wree presented from Pro class to Sportsman.
Team JSR (Jordan Scott Racing) made their debut as a new team
Ryan Thompson brought home a solid 5th in Clubman with a great ride coming from behind!
Harold Crawford battled through a tough 2 laps of the 30km loop in the Elite Vets class to a 4th place finish!
Jordan Scott in the Pro class collided with a fallen rider and broke the front brake hose. Rode on but it soon became to dangerous on the very steep descents and I didn’t manage to finish – DNF
Our very own rider young Reece Gazzard finished a very credible 10th in the very competitive Expert class.
David McMahon and Martin Conlon had strong finishes in the Clubman class, as did Nathan Devlin and Chris Hegarty who were were part of a well represented crew form Draperstown (The Draperstown 7)
Ian McMahon finished 9th in the Sportsman class. Jonny Cairns and Daryl Keery were unfortunate to time out as were Veteran riders Gordie Taylor and John Walker.
For many of the riders this was there first taste of a proper Extreme event and they all agree it was a tough day.
Well done lads from Enduro NI and we hope the strong entry from our wee island will grow from strength to strength.
