MRA UPDATE ON COVID 19 OUTBREAK

        23rd JULY 2020

RACING IS BACK!!

The Officers and Directors of the Motorcycle Racing Association (Ireland) Ltd., official Governing Body of Off Road Motorcycle Sport in Ulster would like to update all competitors and members of the current situation regarding a return to competition as the NI Executive are easing restrictions weekly now.

The MRA Directors have received permission from Department for Communities and SportNI to go racing again, and from this Friday 24th July 2020 spectators will be allowed as long as Social Distancing can be adhered to by the spectators, and managed by the organisers with Track & Trace protocols in place for everyone on site.

Competitors can enter events online and are encouraged to check the COVID 19 Supplementary Regulations, everyone on site must provide contact details for Track & Trace purposes, there will be no catering allowed onsite, we would ask everyone to reduce cash payments where possible, the MRA are investigating a cashless payment system for spectators, details to be released if successful shortly

We would ask everyone who plans on attending an event to familiarise themselves with the COVID 19 regulations and protocols and to co operate with the organising Club at all times.

Practice and Coaching sessions will still be limited to 30 people in total.

The MRA would like to thank everyone at SportNI, Department for Communities and NI Sports Forum for their assistance during this pandemic.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding in these extraordinary times we are nearly there please stay safe.

SportNI Liaison Officer
